Synopsis

Mu Jin and his companions arrive in his hometown, where he encounters a kind woman who used to give him free candy as a child. He recalls a past full of hardship. They are then unexpectedly invited to a luncheon by the province's lord. It's revealed the lord is the Emperor's incompetent younger brother, causing Mu Jin and his companions to question the power dynamics at play between the government and Murim. The chapter closes with the group heading towards the capital, wary of the political implications of the invitation.
