Synopsis

The chapter reveals that the food shortage in Hasting is due to tainted crops, not a lack of supplies. A mysterious, unnamed knight arrives, single-handedly defeating harpies and earning an audience with the young Lord of Hasting. The Lord, while appearing naive, expresses concern over the current state of the region while a character named Jirdevourer plots to leverage the food situation to his advantage. The chapter ends with the knight requesting food from the Lord, intending to gauge the state of the castle’s resources.
