Synopsis

A captured character, Clark, experiences drug-induced hallucinations after being exposed to a hallucinogenic substance, causing concern among his captors. Simultaneously, the Merelof representatives arrive to discuss a Gula trade, where the sellers justify the high price due to Gula's cultivation, unique properties, and the need to fund reconstruction efforts. The chapter ends with the sellers demanding either an increase in the amount purchased or an increase in the price per unit.
