Synopsis

The chapter begins with a character receiving a power transfer which reveals that his body is corrupted. He struggles to integrate this power while gaining enlightenment on its nature. He then engages in a tense exchange with an opponent, using Go as a metaphor for their conflict. He interprets his opponent's final move in the game as a sign of his mentor's impending demise and begins to receive the final lessons, signifying the transition to a new phase.
