Synopsis

The protagonist successfully escapes the clutches of the empire using a pre-planned sewer route, aided by loyal connections with kingdoms resentful of the current rulers. Meanwhile, a count named Arita, loyal to Duke Fez, schemes to drug and manipulate the returning Empress for personal gain. The chapter also foreshadows Duke Fez's future rebellion using those who hold resentment to the Empire, and the protagonist instructs an ally to watch the Duke's moves.
