Synopsis

The chapter opens with a character being offered a high-paying job, followed by a desperate journey to an unknown destination. Simultaneously, another narrative thread reveals the ambush of a magic academy by a group of individuals, one of whom is motivated by a forty-year-old revenge plot. The ambushers use dark magic with properties of absorption and assimilation, while the defenders acknowledge the power of light, culminating in a chaotic scene with walls closing in on the victims.
