Synopsis

The chapter begins with the 'wanderer' healing a wounded man who was surprisingly left to rest by his group, showing some knowledge of medicine and tetanus. This leads to a conversation about the 'Orthodox Sects', the Demonic Cult, and the nature of the Central Plains. The 'wanderer' describes a place of diverse people who share their lives, but warns of the dangers of generalizing. The chapter then transitions to the wounded man encountering a group of captors near a ger, where a captive makes a desperate attempt at suicide to avoid being abused.
