Synopsis

The protagonist notes a change in how their body feels during combat and a deeper connection to their sword, which is attributed to learning their body's movements. Their teacher states they are becoming less human as they fight and develop. Later, they arrive at a port city famed for a Kraken, only to find it's a commercialized tourist attraction with Kraken-themed food and merchandise. The protagonist is disappointed at the lack of an actual monstrous Kraken.
