Synopsis

A group of spies report their failure to capture Helmlit, explaining he is a dangerous former mercenary, not a student. They are assigned a new mission to deliver a report and are then secretly ordered to be killed. Meanwhile, Helmlit interacts with another character about his actions and a stolen textbook, later finding the private training grounds are closed. He reflects on the forced and false equality attempts of his peers, acknowledging their fear of him.
