Synopsis

The chapter opens with subordinates being berated for failing to properly clean up after themselves, being forced to lift heavy objects while being threatened and punished. They rebel, stating they'd rather die than follow orders, but ultimately swear allegiance to the second lord. Despite the oath, the lord demands a sacrifice to prove their loyalty, choosing one at random for execution, but then postpones it, leaving them in fear.
