Synopsis

The chapter starts with a tense exchange where the protagonist proves he is not a simple savage. He then meets Sienna, a prominent informant, at the Crow's Nest, using a secret knock to gain entry. After a brief interrogation about his connection to a previous acquaintance, he is given a trivial commission to investigate a series of disappearances in Low Street. This is revealed to be a test, as Sienna is aware of the protagonist’s powerful past. The protagonist, knowing this is a means to get stronger to prevent the world's ruin, accepts the challenge.
