Synopsis

The chapter opens with the appearance of a monstrous being, causing panic and triggering a full watchcon level alert, escalating to DEFCON. A procedure requiring presidential approval is initiated, likely to neutralize the threat, despite one character needing more time to process the situation. Simultaneously, another character, who was being searched for, is found, possibly connected to the monstrous entity (referred to as 'the steer').
