Synopsis

The chapter opens with the protagonist facing a monster that has evolved by consuming minerals, rendering his magic attacks useless. He deduces that the monster is confined to the mines and discovers an ancient dwarf pickaxe, which he hopes will be effective against it. Meanwhile, back at his home, the protagonist’s nightly disappearances are being noticed, with some believing he is visiting the Demon King’s castle while others express trust in his actions. Finally, the protagonist honors some fallen dwarves he discovers in the mine.
