Synopsis

The chapter opens with chaos as the group realizes they are invaded and must flee. The leader quickly devises a plan to split the group into two, one led by the demon lord which becomes the scapegoat, and another which takes a different route in the hopes of increasing their chances of survival. The leader is clearly motivated by greed, intending to exploit the demon lord and his group's sacrifice in order to secure more treasure and the bounty on his head while ensuring his own team's survival. The Demon Lord seems aware of the plan but remains calm and collected while contracting additional monsters.
