Synopsis

The chapter opens with a major reveal: the plague was a fabrication. A tense confrontation ensues where Kuki takes Lapis hostage, threatening to kill her unless Dantalian releases his main body. Dantalian surprisingly agrees, stating that deals only work when power is balanced or one side is overwhelmingly strong. Lapis, defying Kuki, proclaims she's willing to die for Dantalian, creating a cliffhanger.
