Synopsis

The chapter opens with news of a brutal attack by Latuans orcs during a noble ball, where many were killed, including the Governor. The Pendragon knights, surprisingly invited to the ball, are revealed to have successfully defended against them. This leads to discussion about one of the Pendragons being incredibly strong, even intimidating a powerful fighter from the south. Later, a character reflects on a past divorce, expressing regret and acknowledging that their former partner has changed significantly, revealing a complicated set of feelings.
