Synopsis

The chapter opens with a mage preparing a large shockwave spell. The protagonist manages to redirect the attack and quickly identifies the mage as being reliant on an artifact, using the mage's visible anxiety and doubt about their abilities to his advantage. Afterward, the protagonist faces a werewolf in disarray, noting its poor control of its werewolf transformation and ultimately engages in combat using multiple shields. He easily blocks the werewolf's attacks and initiates a counter-attack, leaving his opponent panicked.
