Synopsis

The chapter opens with a flashback to the protagonist's life filled with chronic pain and reliance on addictive medicine. He recalls the massacre of his clan and his subsequent vow of revenge. He is later found to be in better condition after a young boy's attempts at training inadvertently replenishes his energy balance.
