Synopsis

The chapter begins with the group trying to determine how Mareda targets Leffen. They use a magic circle to try and mask his presence, confirming their suspicions about Mareda's sensing ability. Later, a daytime attack by Mareda leads the group to conclude that it possesses its own consciousness and targets members of the TH Battalion, leading to a camp reorganization strategy to try to draw Mareda out and confirm its target. Mareda appears very quickly after this reorganization, confirming the group's hypothesis about the target.
