Synopsis

Eclis is confused and distressed by Penelope's reaction to his actions, believing she's angry and forsaking him. He reflects on his past agreement with Yvonne to ensure Penelope’s survival, which led him to betray his own people. Eclis recalls his dream of standing beside Penelope as a knight and acknowledges the impossibility of achieving this while remaining a slave. He resolves to take Penelope away, believing it's the only way to prevent her from suffering and becoming like she did after returning alone from a previous banquet.
