Penelope is frustrated by her confinement and the news that her love interest, Eclis, betrayed her. She learns that Eclis manipulated the situation to elevate himself and bring back the 'real princess' by using the escape plans of his own people as a sacrifice. This leads Penelope to be further isolated by her father's order and she resolves to take action, even though there might be risks. She also starts her own investigation to get to the bottom of the situation and even attempts an escape from her room.
