Synopsis

The chapter opens with the revelation that the young patriarch has been kidnapped, causing the family to gather a rescue team and leave the manor practically deserted. The protagonist, having returned without notice, is then mistaken for a thief, resulting in a humorous fight where his beard is shaved off. He is then drawn into a situation to help “fix” the thief due to a suggestion by the manor master. The chapter concludes with news of the downfall of the Namgoong family, further adding tension to the current events.
