Synopsis

The chapter opens with the protagonist recovering from a severe battle, grappling with his desire for revenge against Jung Ilryong, and his depleted demonic energy. He learns about the different levels of the cult's weapon storages and is frustrated by his inability to access the highest one. Simultaneously, Ma Dongpil, the protagonist's squad leader, is punished for his failure in a previous mission and subsequently appointed as the protagonist's personal guard, which the protagonist views as a hindrance to his plans for freedom and revenge. Lastly, a wounded enemy is determined to come back.
