Synopsis

The chapter focuses on Boris's interaction with another character who questions his age and relation to Roseness, revealing they are not siblings and she is the Count's real daughter. Boris displays an uncanny ability to guess their ages correctly, which he attributes to a "superpower", though it's implied he was likely told. His knowledge of age is then used as a metaphor to highlight the importance of lying and quick thinking in becoming a great swordsman.
