Bella, initially hesitant, agrees to a deal with Yan, who offers her an immense amount of gold. The deal is finalized through a bizarre game of raising bids and a signed contract. This contract, however, is revealed to have a deadly clause that states Bella will die by head explosion if the contract is broken. The chapter concludes with Yan and another character discussing the contract's magic and Yan's motives.
