Synopsis

The chapter shifts between several storylines. A group of scavengers stumble upon an unconscious, heavily injured warrior while another scene shows a powerful figure planning to personally lead troops to capture a prince who has crossed the border. A third storyline shows a disagreement between a father and son about the value of formal education versus focusing on combat skills. The chapter concludes with the scavengers contemplating what to do with the injured warrior and his weapons.
