Synopsis

During a reconnaissance mission, Luca and Ilay encounter an ancient site and are attacked by an unknown force user, requiring them to undergo extensive body augmentations after their near-death experience. Despite this, they are acknowledged as the top two cadets, and the chapter reveals Luca's aspirations to become a Centurion, showcasing his driven nature compared to Ilay's more reluctant participation, as well as Ilay's secret desire to be an archeologist, and their evolving relationship. The chapter ends with a warning between the two about loyalty and keeping secrets.
