Synopsis

This chapter focuses on the past, detailing how Alberto and Kirtel, two powerful mages, constantly argued about attribute magic versus combat techniques. They both loved Kayssa Mayton, an orphan they trained, and were devastated when her heart was broken by the clash of the two magic styles. To ensure the safety of her lineage, Alberto chose combat techniques (Martial Arts and Fighting Spirit), and Kirtel developed attribute magic and a separate system. The protagonist discovers Alberto's hidden cave and legacy which reveals the creation of the Mayton's fighting style and hints at a path forward using the knowledge.
