Synopsis

The chapter opens with the protagonist finding a tribe that uses a drug to block out the forest's constant wailing. The tribe's chief, a powerful martial artist, agrees to help the protagonist after initial suspicion. The tribe reveals that Enverus, who the protagonist seeks, departed two months prior but left instructions to guide the protagonist through the forest's defenses. They test the protagonist with a seemingly impenetrable wall, before revealing a method to pass that relies on his unique mental fortitude, which also connects him with past characters and future plot points.
