Synopsis

The protagonist is overwhelmed in battle by an opponent with superior strategy and skills, including animal communication and weapon control. He expends almost all his mana to block a single attack and is further weakened by poison. Despite a final attempt, he's defeated. Following the fight, a character with a strong connection to the game's mechanics appears, offering the protagonist a high-ranked item and warning him about the world's unique challenges.
