Synopsis

The chapter reveals the Cheongyang Merchant Association's true intentions as they welcome the Wudang ascetics, masking their ulterior motives with hospitality. They plan to use the ascetics to elevate Jin-Hye while simultaneously plotting the murder of Jinmu. The association leader is also involved in gunpowder smuggling and contracts out the assassination of Jinmu to a group of vagabond warriors. This culminates with the ascetics witnessing the hired assassins training and recognizing the Merchant Association leader’s duplicity.
