Synopsis

The chapter opens with a discussion about loyalty and the nature of power, transitioning into a dialogue where a character, who is seemingly a recent ally of the tyrannical king Jakseungard, expresses their intention to betray him. They argue that Jakseungard's reign is doomed because neighboring nations will take advantage of any weakness. This character then outlines a plan to use their position within the court to undermine Jakseungard while also working towards their own long-term survival and prosperity by aligning with the new power structure. Despite claiming to be doing this partly for the citizens, their primary motivation seems self-serving.
