Synopsis

The chapter introduces Lich, a new student at a magic academy, as he navigates the social hierarchy and tension between the different faculties. He encounters a group of commoner students in the medical faculty who are bullied by nobles and later, gets caught up with a powerful mage whom he calls 'Lord'. Lich skillfully performs a dissection in front of his lord, demonstrating his medical knowledge and hoping to become an assistant. The chapter culminates with Lich pledging to prove his loyalty to the mage through his skills.
