Synopsis

The chapter opens with the Saint returning to find the Holy Kingdom in chaos. The Investigation Council, acting under orders from the Pope, is indiscriminately killing people they label as heretics. The Saint, witnessing this brutality, intervenes by confronting the Council members and then directly addresses the chief judge of the Council, demanding their immediate assembly in Selonia and threatening violence if they don't comply. The chapter concludes with the Saint standing against the Council, her determination solidifying to combat the Pope's tyrannical actions.
