Synopsis

The chapter opens with the Pope dismissing the Saint's words and actively targeting heretics, revealing his own power grab within the Holy Empire. Meanwhile, the protagonist, easily entering a plague-ridden tower, encounters and battles a high-ranking Froxia mage. This mage is defeated and captured using a sealing spell, while the protagonist ultimately gets his hands on a magic book after leaving his companions behind. The chapter closes with a hint that the Pope was involved in Froxia's infiltration, further adding political intrigue and potential conspiracies.
