Synopsis

The chapter opens with the protagonist dealing with severe cold in the mountains when he stumbles upon a dryad. The dryad reveals its species was displaced from their home forest by humans using dark magic. The protagonist, coincidentally on a path to punish those same humans, pledges to help. Afterwards, the protagonist reaches the elven territory, and is promptly turned away by the guards when asking to speak with a high elf named Cherci.
