Synopsis

The chapter opens with the protagonist reflecting on their past desire for revenge, now recognizing it as vain. They then begin to analyze magic circles woven throughout the city, realizing buildings' floorplans contribute to the overall spell. Overlapping magic circles and corrupted mana make their mana control difficult, and they find themselves confronting monsters summoned by a related spell. Despite their weakened state, they resolve to protect civilians from the monsters as supplies begin to come in.
