Synopsis

The chapter opens with the Saintess overpowering and capturing assassins who then reveal they were forced into service by 'Froxia', an organization that seeks to infiltrate the Holy Empire and was responsible for a past massacre. Meanwhile, the Saintess's companion investigates a village where people have been turned to stone by a magic circle and confronts survivors who are revealed to be traitors who killed soldiers and helped the monsters. He is now trying to understand the magical circle itself to help. The two storylines are separate but connected by the need to discover more about Froxia.
