The chapter opens with a lecture where the professor explains how mana's self-complementary nature allows spells to be cancelled, and has his students practice the techniques. Afterwards, he runs into Grayia who is being harassed, and by the professor intervening in the fight, Grayia is revealed to have interest in the professor's lecture for medicine, who is himself. The chapter concludes with a surprise appearance by another character who had official business to tend to, but visited regardless.
The chapter focuses on a magic lecture where the professor demonstrates spell cancellation, followed by the professor encountering a damsel in distress, who he later learns is interested in his medical lectures, and then is surprised by a visitor who he thought would not show up.
