Synopsis

The chapter opens with the protagonist displaying overwhelming strength, effortlessly bisecting a Manticore, prompting observers to note the power as a 'World Thrust'. Despite his strength, he's warned about the mental strain of such techniques. The narrative then shifts to a flashback, telling the tale of a determined mare who seeks out powerful monarchs to gain their strength in order to ascend the Illusion Tree, hoping to change the world. Despite the mare's perseverance, he is ultimately unsuccessful, having all hope seemingly stripped away when the monarchs steal the fruits of his labors.
