Synopsis

The chapter opens with the protagonist in his 'inner world,' where the Book of Command explains that the protagonist's understanding of power is lacking, and introduces the concept of 'Legendary Characters' with the Conqueror as an example. It then transpires that the protagonist had to resort to a second achievement during the fight - the Plague Monarch achievement - but was defeated. The Conqueror is revealed to have been imprisoned with a special device made by the Tower's creator, and the protagonist learns he is in a hospital, his magic power was frozen and was attacked before falling unconscious. The chapter ends with the Book of Command revealing himself as the entity that gave Mason his power.
