Synopsis

After his fight, the protagonist receives an antidote and advice from a monk about the monastery layout and his spear technique. He learns about the difficulty of later rooms, including a mention of other challengers, before proceeding to the 5th room. During the new fight, the protagonist realizes he has been seeking connection due to loneliness, and admits to having shown weakness in revealing his motivations to his opponent. The monk, surprisingly, is benevolent and suggests they rest and talk later.
