Synopsis

Karina is conflicted by the warmth and comfort she receives from Millaion, fearing that he is developing feelings for her which she believes will lead to misery given her terminal illness. She reflects on her actions and questions if she has been too unreserved, deciding that Millaion should not harbor such feelings. Meanwhile, Millaion acknowledges that his comforting actions, including kissing Karina, were meant as a form of comfort for her, masking his feelings. The chapter concludes with both showing concern for each other, Millaion wanting to keep her safe and Karina fearing to hurt him.
