Synopsis

The chapter opens with a girl giving the protagonist, who is implied to be frail, a rare medicine. He later attends a play with her and others, featuring a one-handed swordsman, and he meets a pickpocketing character who he defeats. In the latter half of the chapter, the protagonist undergoes training with his rival, initially struggling but then receiving guidance that highlights his weak footwork. They agree to continue training together, and he's followed by the pickpocket from earlier.
