Synopsis

The protagonist pays his rent and declares he is moving into a luxurious hotel. He finds himself in a hotel and discovers he is its new owner, which was a reward for winning a battle from the previous day. A system within a microchip update shows him he can now collect an in-game currency that can be converted into real money, plus he also has access to unlock powerful champions. He also learns of the real-world implications of his victory by the changed identity and records, concluding that the battle and game system are real.
