Synopsis

The chapter begins by establishing the world and its dangers, then shifts to introducing Seol, who gets into a confrontation due to his low-level deception. He is saved and recruited by Carpe Diem, a group known for their unconventional approach and power. They're heading into the dangerous Forest of Negativity, for a mission that is more than just a scouting exercise, involving some unknown "plus-alpha" element, and are joined by Professor An, a high-level Alchemist.
