Synopsis

Cyan, the Duke's son, is living on the frontlines and secretly using his demonic sword powers, which manifest when he allows Kaeram to control him. He quickly dispatches a high-level monster, a death worm, which raises alarms among the soldiers because of the unusual way it was killed. This incident also draws the attention of Cyan's father, who seems unusually kind and wants to discuss something with Cyan the next day. The chapter ends with Cyan being exhausted but realizing the implications of his actions and acknowledging the strength of Kaeram's powers.
