Synopsis

The chapter introduces Aeru, the God of Black Fog, who is looking for a successor, and encounters the protagonist, a regressor. The regressor claims to have the power of the fog and is deemed qualified. The regressor declares his intention to use the power for self-serving purposes, which Aeru seems to accept. The chapter also includes scenes of the strained and comedic relationship between the regressor and his adopted daughter, and a display of school bullying involving the regressor's classmates.
