Synopsis

The chapter opens with a mercenary being offered more gold to betray the princess they're supposed to protect. This leads to a confrontation where the mercenary's group is outnumbered, yet they somehow manage to hold their own while other characters question the use of holy relics and reveal plot points. The chapter concludes with the princess being cornered, prompting the mercenary to switch tactics, prioritizing defense of the princess.
