Synopsis

After an ambush, the mercenary group discovers the priest withheld information about previous attacks and negotiates a higher payment. They then devise a plan to let the evil spirit worshipers steal a relic, intending to retrieve it and the 'divinity' within. A large bat-like monster attacks, forcing them to re-evaluate their combat strategy, particularly regarding magic use. They also learn the priest is transporting a sacred item, the target of the worshipers, for a promised large payment.
